The Homework Never Ends Even if tomorrow turns pale, I shall get it and show you

Fiction

These are the writing projects I and my mate are working on or have completed.

Fiona Canteberry

The Golden Sands (Si Trilogy, part 1)

A mentally-ill writer leaves her harsh apartment and embarks on a journey through Hell with an ancient mage and his lover queen. Along the way, the mage, queen, and a megalomaniacal king relate their story of revenge, intrigue, war, and a struggle as old as time.

Status: Final story-editing with friends/family. Will hopefully begin sending to editors by mid-2010.

The Neon Days (Si Trilogy, part 2)

Our writer returns after a year of recovery from her trip to Hell. Unable to cope with the depression and monotony of the city, she strikes out into the desert and discovers secrets beyond the mountain. Upon her return, a corrupt organization and a mysterious villain stalk her . . . and her friend, the ancient mage. Throughout her travels, a spirit trapped with hers relates the story of a long-dead warrior woman.

Status: Beta-reading with online community.

The Silicon City (Si Trilogy, part 3)

The world is dying. The gods have nearly given up. Soon, only the denizens of Si remain: a young woman, once insane; an ancient mage, now trying to control his growing power; a reborn king with visions of power; and an old sacrifice who has grown close to the Creatrix. The Si trilogy will come to an epic, crashing end as the gods battle and mortals claw to survive.

Status: Requires an author run-through to catch obvious mistakes and review plot.

The Singing Game

Psychics terrorize the world, held back only by a private army owned by nobles. During an attack on a village controlled by a powerful psychic, a soldier named Tam rescues and adopts an amnesiac young woman, whom he names T. She later meets a mysterious young man named Xander. Psychics begin invading their lives, pitting them against each other in an escalating conflict of desire and pain.

Indifference Capitol (Gear Saints book 1)

Heronberg is a city where strange things happen and the residents don't care. A young lady moves in expecting opportunity and instead discovers chaos, usually at the hands of her inventor neighbor, his grumpy roommate, and a little rolling ball of insanity called Bobo. Up against our heroes are doppelgangers, time-travellers, an awesome vampire hunter, animate grocery stores, fallen gods, a psychotic CEO and his mad scientist, and more.

Status: About to begin drafting.
